Founder · Temporary Export Manager
Margherita Borgo
Founder and Temporary Export Manager. European, North American, Asian, and Middle Eastern markets; manufacturing, precision engineering, fashion, and food.

Temporary Export Manager. She supports Italian businesses in international markets, from strategy to execution: market selection and entry, distribution networks and day-to-day export management.
Her experience spans precision engineering and machinery, fashion and luxury, food and beverage, and industrial manufacturing. Purchasing standards, sales cycles and the people making decisions vary between sectors. Each export project needs to be built on the figures of the business involved.
How she works
International development requires an understanding of the market and how customers buy. Before opening a sales channel, the business needs to assess whether it can serve it: production capacity, lead times, regulatory compliance, multilingual technical support and after-sales service.
She starts with that assessment, selects a few markets the business can support and builds the partner network around them. This follows the MA.VI Method: understand before designing.
At the end of a Temporary Export Management assignment, staff retain the skills to select and understand markets and manage the network without depending on the person who built it.
